Ina Garten is well-known American cookery book author and Emmy award winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 and has aired 27 seasons till 2020. Ina began her career working for the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy reports. While she initially found the work interesting, she soon stopped her interest. She then bought a Barefoot Contessa a small speciality food store. It took her nearly 18 years to make the shop wildly successful, before she sold it. She then began to write the first of many cookbooks. There were many more cookbooks, and magazines columns which followed. Meanwhile the Food Network show was also successful. Additionally, she offers everything from cooking equipment to tools and storage containers. Ina is not a student at any cookery schools or employed in a restaurant, and is completely self-taught. She's known for her easygoing way of cooking and entertaining. Her best-known recipes include Skillet with roasted lemon chicken and Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & cheese Beef Bourguignon.
