Silk is a Canadian born academic. Silk was born in Fredericton. She is born to Peter Silk, a professor, and Ilkay Silk, a playwright and director. She was also known as an actress. Anna remembers certain memories she had when she was a kid, such as being a spectator at play rehearsals. Silk was a part of a variety of commercials where she was featured at a young age. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced at least two early productions, Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk started her career in acting when she moved to Toronto, Canada, in November of 1999. After that, she relocated from Toronto to Los Angeles for the remainder of that decade. Seth Cooperman met Silk at the Actors Workshop at Los Angeles in 2007. They got married in 2009 and were they were married at the civil ceremony on December of that year. After she had converted to Judaism, they renewed their wedding vows at an Jewish ceremony on the 10th of April 2011.
