Luciana Paoluzzi was raised living in Rome together with her mother and father. Luciana Paoluzzi's father is an Italian Army officer, and Maria Rota Paoluzzi's mother was an ex-love interest to Benito Mussolini. It's not clear if she has any siblings. Luciana attended the high school in her town, and, after graduation in 1955, studied Naval Engineering at the Scientific Academy of Milan. She was the sole woman in the class.
